Narooma ladies break the bank for breast cancer

There aren’t many folks who love to three-putt, but the Narooma Lady Golfers have been happily three-putting all year for a good cause.

The girls have been busy donating to the club’s three-putt bucket over the course of the year, and in conjunction with their annual cancer council charity day held yesterday, managed to raise $2250 to go towards NSW Breast Cancer research.

“It was a great effort from a small group of ladies, and it was lots of fun,” the Narooma Ladies President Jan Boxsell said.

A highlight of the day’s activities was the official cake-cutting ceremony, featuring a cake finished in beautiful pink decorations.

Breast cancer survivor and club member Chris Mathews had the honour of cutting the cake to top-off the post-round festivities.
