National Squad Diary: Cathleen Santoso

Summer is just around the corner and after almost four months without really touching the sticks I cannot wait to get back on the track! There are many opportunities and tournaments to compete in within Australia and I&aposm excited to be able to play once these exams are over! My first debut will hopefully be at the Dunes Medal late November. I was then excited to watch the players compete in the Men’sAustralian Open at The Lakes this year however I have a family festivity to attend overseas at the same time. I&aposm sure the field this year will be great and seeing some inspirational men take on a tough course is a great learning tool. Christmas will be another little break for many but then January 2013 will be a hit! I will probably head up to Belmont to play the Lake Macquarie event followed by the Women&aposs Australian Amateur on the Woodlands and Commonwealth golf courses in Melbourne! The month will then finish with the NSW Open at Oatlands. The Women&aposs Australian Open is scheduled to open February and hopefully I will get the opportunity to compete in this spectacular tournament once again. Being a co-sanctioned event with the USLPGA, the field will just be phenomenal! Aussie&aposs Summer of Golf is not one to be missed. Just a few more weeks before I can get back into it and I am very keen to reunite with my long lost golf clubs! Keep training and practicing hard, it&aposll all pay off one day!
