• Attached is a schedule of precise times for when GOLF Link will go offline on Monday 20 January, and when it will come back online on Thursday 23 January.

• All 8 of the existing Tier 3 Third-Party software providers have now been re-accredited to operate under the new GA Handicap System. These 8 companies are as follows: Computer Magic, GCS (Golf Computer Systems), Infopower, MiClub, Micropower (both PG7 and PowerPlus Golf systems), Pricap (Slice Software), Pulse, and Thyme.

• (Note: What is Tier 3 and what is Tier 1? “Tier 3” refers to the third-party companies that provide commercial software packages to golf clubs. These companies are accredited by GA to allow their software to interact with the GOLF Link systems. The Tier 3 companies offer more advanced services than the standard “Tier 1” GOLF Link system. Additional Tier 3 services may for example include point-of-sale systems, member account management, personalised score card printing functionality, etc. Tier 1 is currently used by most smaller clubs. Tier 1 will continue to provide all necessary handicapping services under the new GA Handicap System.)

• For those clubs with Tier 3 systems, your software provider will communicate with you directly about the roll-out of its new software into your club. That said, it is of course ultimately the responsibility of the club to ensure that this upgrade process has occurred at your facility in readiness for 23 January.

• For Tier 3 users, your software provider will communicate with you directly about training resources for its changed/new operating screens. If your provider has not already commenced communicating with you about this, it will do so very shortly. That said, it is of course ultimately the responsibility of the club to ensure it has received from its software provider adequate information to enable it to operate the changed/new operating screens and functionality at your facility in readiness for 23 January.

• For Tier 1 users, training resources for the changed/new Tier 1 operating screens will be made available via the Tier 1 website. The page you land on after logging in will provide all of the information around this. That said, it is of course ultimately the responsibility of the club to ensure it is able to operate the changed/new Tier 1 operating screens and functionality.
