Jarochowicz fired an opening round 1-under par 69 and started the second and final day just one shot behind leader, Lecuyer with a host of players within three shots of the lead. Both McDonald and Jarochowicz got off to the best starts, each picking up three shots in the opening five holes, leaving the lone Aussie in the field with a two shot lead which she held through the turn after a bogey at the 9th.

Another bogey by Jarochowicz at the 11th saw her lead cut to one and after 15 holes had dropped into a tie for the lead with Dawn Shockley from Glen Haven, Colorado. However, the lead was only one with both Lecuyer and McDonald on even par with three to play. From there, it was Jarochowicz who held her nerve with three staright pars to finish while Shockley finished with three straight bogeys. Both Lecuyer and McDonald made bogey at 17 leaving "KJ" with a two shot lead playing the last hole. She picked up US$3,000 for her win and great satisfaction with her first title. Later by email she said, "I can&apost believe I won…I actually won a tournament yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I&aposve only been home for an hour and already on my third Coors Light."
