Next stage of Olympic ticket sales begins

The next phase of Olympic ticket sales for Australia begins tomorrow at 10am (AEST).

The Australian Olympic Committee and its authorised Rio 2016 ticket reseller CoSport reported today that demand from the initial request phase had rivalled that of London 2012.

Tickets on sale tomorrow will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with a CoSport spokesman confirming requests had been made to Games organisers for more tickets should they became available.

“Our athletes will appreciate the strong fan support in Rio so please continue to stay engaged as the ticket request phase and live sales tomorrow are only your first opportunities to secure Individual tickets for the Games” said Kitty Chiller, Chef de Mission of the Australian team.

“The Australian Olympic Committee is working closely with CoSport to advocate for greater ticket availability so we can attract the largest possible number of enthusiastic Australian fans in each and every venue.”

All CoSport offerings for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which will feature golf for the first time in more than a century, are exclusively available through .
