Australian Nikki Campbell is the leading the Aussie and Kiwi charge after the first round of Final Qualifying at Lalla Aicha Tour School for the 2013 LET. Campbell, who has applied her trade in Japan over the past 10 years fired a first round of six-under-par 66 to be just one shot back from Sweden s Isabella Ramsay. Campbell shares second place with Peruvian Maria Salinas. I ve been playing well since I got here. I just hit good shots in and made the putts and that s all you have to do really, consistently, said Campbell, making her first appearance at LET Tour School. Aussie Breanna Elliott and Kiwis Emily Perry and Cathryn Bristow also started well. The trio posted opening rounds of two-under-par to share 25th position, while Sarah King is tied for 46th a further shot back. The current projected cut is one-under-par. Whitney Hillier shot an even par round to sit in a tie for 61st position. Ashlee Dewhurst and Katelyn Must are both at two-over and share 85th position. Corie Huo (76) is tied for 116th, Sunny Park (77) is tied for 124th, while Tamara Johns (79) is tied for 137th. All three have a lot of work to do, but there is time. The 141 woman field is spilt over the Al Maaden Golf Resort and Amelkis Resort over the first four days, playing two rounds on each of the courses. After 72 holes, a cut at 60 plus ties precedes the fifth and final round on the Al Maaden Golf Resort to decide the top 30 full cards plus ties on offer for the 2013 Ladies European Tour.
