Nitties best Aussie on Web.com Tour

Ben Martin extended his scorching hot form to take out the Mylan Classic by an equal-record margin for this year&aposs Web.com Tour, while the Australian contingent finished well back. The South Carolina native added a four-under 67, his third in succession, to go with a 66 on Thursday as he closed out a five-stroke victory over fellow American Kelly Kraft, who finished at 12 under. There was daylight to the rest of the field with a group of six players tying for third at seven under, while Australians James Nitties (even), Adam Crawford (two over), Gavin Coles (three over), Ashley Hall (seven over) and Peter Lonard (eight over) were never in the hunt. Martin&aposs win was his second in six tournaments following his triumph at the United Leasing Championship. In 24 rounds the 25-year-old has carded a combined 96-under-par with all but six being 67 or better. Kraft cut Martin&aposs four-shot overnight lead with a string of seven birdies in the first 11 holes but back-to-back birdies to finish and an eagle on the 15th proved more than enough for Martin.
