Nitties drops off in Jacksonville

Russell Henley claimed the web.com Tour&aposs Jacksonville Open after winning a playoff against fellow American BJ Staten as Australian Nitties dropped out of the tournament&aposs top 10 on the final day. Henley parred the first playoff hole, but Staten could only manage a double-bogey as they repeated the 18th hole, after finishing tied on 10-under par through 72 holes. Nitties was the best of the Australian contingent, but didn&apost finish the week off well at Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida, carding a final-round three-over par 73 to drop out of the top-10 and finish tied for 15th. Nitties finished the week on even-par overall, ahead of countrymen Scott Gardiner and Nick Flanagan – who were tied for 37th at three-over overall. Gardiner rounded out his weekend with a two-under 68, while Flanagan also shot under the card with a one-under 69. The result sees Gardiner retain his spot as the best of the Australians on the web.com Tour&aposs money list at 10th, ahead of Cameron Percy (13) and Alistair Presnell (19) as the top 25 prepare to earn themselves a position on next year&aposs PGA Tour. Flanagan is 40th on the money earner&aposs list while Nitties is a long way off the pace at 107th, although he did climb nine places over the weekend.
