Norman slips further behind

Greg Norman&aposs hangover from his remarkable performance at the British Open last week has continued at the senior version of the tournament this week as The Shark shot another over-par round to trail leader Bruce Vaughan by eight strokes at the halfway point of the tournament. Norman improved on his first-round four-over-par effort but finished the second round on one-over to be plus five overall in a share of 20th spot. The 53-year-old Australian&aposs second day was a mixed bag that featured bogeys at the 7th and 8th holes, a double-bogey at the 11th, an eagle at the 16th and a birdie at the 18th. Vaughan is now the outright pacesetter of the tournament on three-under after sharing the lead with Argentinean Eduardo Romero after the first round. The American enjoys a one-stroke lead over compatriot John Cook (two-under) who is outright second while Romero, Bernhard Langer and Tom Watson are all a shot further back on one-under in equal third position. Wayne Grady is tied for 13th spot and is the pick of the Australian contingent on four-over while David Merriman is equal with Norman on five-over.
