Australian veteran Greg Norman and partner Camilo Villegas are in a tie for fifth place after the second round of the Merrill Lynch Shootout in Naples, Florida. Norman and Villegas combined for a seven-under-par 65 to move to 10-under overall, nine shots off the lead. Scott Hoch and Kenny Perry took control of the 54-hole tournament with a blistering 12-under-par round in the better ball format to take their total to 19-under. The duo holds a four-shot lead over J.B. Holmes and Boo Weekley, with Nick Price and Jeff Sluman a further stroke back. Zach Johnson and Scott Verplank are outright fourth at 12-under, while Stewart Cink and Fred Couples and Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker are equal with Norman and Villegas. The $4.32 million tournament concludes on Sunday (US time) with the final round to be played under scramble format.
