The Northern NSW Regional Championships were conducted at Tenterfield Golf Club at the beginning of the month. Four District Golf Associations from New England, Northern Rivers, Central North and Mid North Coast submitted Junior Teams and the ultimate winners were the Northern Rivers Junior Team comprising of Ethan Mitchell (Murwillumbah), Sean Godwin (Coolangatta-Tweed Heads) and Kyle Underwood (Ballina).
All of the boys played well with both Ethan and Sean playing better than their handicaps in at least one of the two rounds. The Northern Rivers Team held off the strong Mid North Coast Team to win by five shots.
JNJG member, Jack Pountney (Mid North Coast team) was the individual Regional junior winner with rounds of 76 and 73.
