The 2019 NSW Amateur will return to Sydney with Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club and Mona Vale Golf Club set to be hosts of the 121 year old Championship from 21 to 25 January.
A course that is a real challenge and popular amongst the players, it will be the second time in three years that Terrey Hills has hosted the prestigious event.
The picturesque Mona Vale, on Sydney’s northern beaches, has produced a number of wonderful players over the years and will also be a challenging test for the game's brightest up-and-coming stars.
General Manager of Golf, Mr Graeme Phillipson said next year’s championship will be a quality affair with a change in dates likely to draw plenty of international visitors.
“With the NSW Amateur now following the Australian Amateur, there could be a lot more interest from international players.”
Mr Phillipson added the 2017 Amateur final, played at Terrey Hills delivered two worthy champions who are ready to prove their worth on the world stage.
“Scott Gregory, the 2016 British Amateur Champion, has since turned professional and qualified for this year’s British Open, while Korean Somi Lee was part of a dominant Korean national side that looks like it will be producing stars for years to come.”
