NSW Men’s Fourball C’ship – State Final

Overnight leaders from Maitland, David Mudd and Graham Bull, have held their nerve posting another great score of 46 points to give them a 36-hole total of 99 points. Their nearest competitors were their playing partners for today Paul and Wade Foster from Narrabri who were four points behind on 95. In third place were the highest placed metropolitan pairing of Ian King-Gee and Patrick Stafford from Marrickville. The players were exposed to brilliant weather conditions and the event has been enjoyed by all. The event will conclude tonight with a presentation dinner that will be attended by all players and some guests from Bonville as well as from the Mid North Coast District. Maitland’s Graham Bull and David Mudd have had an exceptional first round of 53 points today to take the round one lead by three points. In second place is the father-son pairing of Paul and Wade Foster from Narrabri with a score of 50 points. In third place is the Marrickville pairing of Ian King-Gee and Patrick Stafford also with a great score of 47 points. Tee times begin tomorrow from 9.00am off the 1st and 9th tees and with the leading pairs hitting off at 10.30am. For round one scores and tee times for round two see below:

The 2014 NSW Men's Fourball Championship State Final will take place on 8-9 October 2014. Forty pairs (20 metropolitan and 20 country) have qualified through Club and District events to reach the State Final. They will play two rounds at the magnificent Bonville Golf Resort to determine the 2014 Champions.

The Championship kicked off on 1 January 2014, with club qualifying rounds commencing around the state. In August, metropolitan and district play-offs narrowed it down to 20 metropolitan and 20 country pairs to contest the State Final. The State Final is 36-hole stableford (two rounds of 18-holes).

Activities kick off on Tuesday 7 October with a welcome BBQ for the players before they take to the course on Wednesday and Thursday. The event concludes with a presentation dinner on Thursday night to reward players for their efforts and to provide a festive finale to a fantastic event.
