Victorian Olivia Kline has got off to a flyer at the Golf Australia Australian Girls' Amateur, with her opening round of 70 the only score under par on a difficult day. Doey Choi (Concord), Celina Yuan (The Australian), and Amelia Mehmet-Grohn (Coffs Harbour) were the best of the Golf NSW, 7 shots behind.
It was a great start by Jordie Garner at the Golf Australia Australian Boys' Amateur, with the Pennant Hills member the best of the Golf NSW contingent after opening with an even par 72. Jason Hong (Concord) was next best with a 73. They trail West Australian Fred Lee who leads the event after an opening round 69.
