NSW Wins Seniors Teams Event

Although not featuring in the final standings as individual players, the NSW team of Stefan Albinski, Dennis Dale, Ross Bockman (absent from photograph) and Robert Payne were successful in taking out the Interstate Teams Stroke Event at the Australian Seniors Championship, held at Royal Queensland. In this event, teams of four compete, with the aggregate of the best three scores each day counting towards the team total. The NSW team finished fourteen strokes ahead of the Queenslanders, who finished in second place. FINAL STANDINGS IN TEAMS EVENT The best placed NSW players in the event were fourth placed Paul Maslen (Concord) and sixth placed Robert Payne (Duntryleague), who was playing in his first National Seniors Championship. Maslen finished the event at 13 over par, seven strokes behind the winner, New Zealand s Murray Martin. FINAL LEADERBOARD – INDIVIDUAL
