The Nudgee Golf Club have won the 2018 Senior Club Teams Challenge, defeating Gailes Golf Club 7.5 to 4.5 on Aggregate in the teams Match Play format.
Both teams played well in the first Final with some tight matches, but only managed a three all draw in the first final at Gailes Golf Club.
It was all down to the second final held at Nudgee Golf Club on Tuesday.
After some promising match scores in the first nine holes, Gailes was out to prove a point after finishing Runners-Up to Redcliffe last year.
But it wasn't to be with the final scores resulting in 4.5 to 1.5 clutch victory for Nudgee.
Congratulations must go to the 2018 Senior Club Teams Champions – Nudgee Golf Club and Finals team members- Gary Heslop, Shane Ryan, Steve Rowley, John Costello, Alistair Kerr, Brian O’Donnell, Ken McLean, Peter Raverty and Steve Mortimer.
This is the second time Nudgee Golf Club have won in the championships’ 13 year history.
Congratulations must also go to both team captains Peter Raverty (Nudgee) and Leigh Madsen (Gailes Captain) as well as all the other clubs who participated in this year's Senior Club Teams Challenge Series.
