Ogilvy hits form

Geoff Ogilvy is three shots off the pace after storming up the leaderboard with a six-under-par 65 in the third round of the FBR Open in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Australian started the day in equal 29th spot and then went about making a third-round charge with three consecutive birdies on the front nine. The final nine holes were even better for Ogilvy as he reeled off four straight birdies to take a share of sixth spot on minus nine, trailing leader American Kenny Perry Fellow Aussie James Nitties also has a share of sixth after a fluctuating round that started off well with early birdies but faltered at the midway point with a double-bogey 6 at the 11th. Former winner Aaron Baddeley is also in contention after a five-under 66 to move up to equal 23rd spot while Jarrod Lyle and Nathan Green are a further stroke back on four under. John Senden, Steve Elkington and Rod Pampling are all poised to make a final-round run at minus three.
