Golf Australia National Squad member Su-Hyun Oh has been ousted in the quarter-finals of the US Women’s Amateur Championship, being played at The Country Club of South Carolina. Oh was beaten narrowly on the 19th hole by Emma Talley from Kentucky in a tightly-fought contest in Charleston. Oh, the world number 2 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings, had skipped the US Girls Amateur as a precaution after back soreness in the lead up. She attended the Golf Australia National Camp in Houston last week and received treatment in a bid to be fully fit for the US Amateur. Former US Girls Champion Minjee Lee was defeated in the Round of 16 by Chinese Taipei s Doris Chen. Both Lee and Oh attended the US Open this past June with Karrie Webb as winners of the Karrie Webb Series.
