South Korea&aposs Ji Young Oh carded a two-under 70 to win the Sybase Classic at the Upper Montclair Country Club in New Jersey and claim her second US LPGA tour title. The 20-year-old holed a seven-foot birdie putt at the final hole to take her tournament total to 14-under 274, while fellow joint overnight leader Suzann Pettersen fell off the pace with bogeys at the final two holes. The Norwegian finished four shots back after shooting a two-over 74 in the final round. “Today I did everything so right,” said Oh, who surpassed US$1 million in earnings on the LPGA tour. Pettersen lamented: “There were so many chances on the back nine. I need to make putts to win tournaments.” Michelle Wie and Paula Creamer both shot one-over 73s in difficult conditions to tie for third at eight-under overall. Creamer equalled her best finish of the year, but had just two birdies and three bogeys as the field contended with cold, uncomfortable weather. Three-time defending champion Lorena Ochoa closed with a 73 also and ended tied for 19th place on 287. Aussies Katherine Hull and Karrie Webb had disappointing final rounds, closing with a 75 and 77 respectively to slip back into a share of 23rd place. Meanwhile, Karen Lunn chipped in for an eagle on the 18th hole to snatch outright third place at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open behind Norway&aposs Marianne Skarpnord. Lunn finished on 14-under overall, two strokes behind Skarpnord and one adrift of England&aposs Melissa Reid. Nikki Garrett was tied for 10th at seven-under.
