OLGR conducting audits across Northern NSW

Clubs NSW has issued an advisory that The Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing will be conducting a regional audit program throughout the Mid North Coast and North Western areas of NSW during December and January.

The audit program will be conducted in two phases.

Phase 1 of the program will focus on engagement and education aimed at raising the levels of compliance and improving awareness of license conditions and liquor and gaming laws generally.

The office has advised that particular emphasis will be placed on:-

· Patron behaviour and intoxication;

· Undesirable liquor promotions and activities;

· RSA and RCG accreditation; and

· Sale of liquor to minors.

Phase 2 of the program will be conducted in early 2016 and involve unannounced audits actively aimed at testing venue compliance during peak trading times.

Along with ClubsNSW, Golf NSW encourages all clubs to undertake regular self-audits. The OLGR has a number of useful resources on their website including a club license compliance check list.

With the festive season upon us, this is a timely reminer to member clubs to be extra vigilant of conduct and behaviour that is not-consistent with licensing conditions as business picks up through the holiday period.
