There’s no better hook for youngsters than to interact with their heroes – doubly so when they put on a magical show afterwards.
In the lead-up to the ISPS HANDA Perth International, young pros Oliver Goss and Nathan Holman helped PGA Professional Nick d’Avoine deliver a MyGolf clinic for 20 juniors at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
The children were excited to meet Goss and Holman and couldn’t wait to ask the Golf Australia Rookie Squad members lots of questions.
But the show really kicked into high gear when Goss and Holman took to the driving range where the juniors asked them to hit an array of shots over varying distances.
And much to the amazement of the juniors, Goss and Holman were able to nail every shot!
The juniors were then able to put their own skills to the test as d’Avoine took them through a series of chipping drills.
Goss and Holman had a great time interacting with the juniors and enjoyed answering all of their questions.
“It was great to be involved in the clinic” Goss said.
“It is great to see so many schoolkids involved in the program” Holman said.
“One day hopefully they will be the one out the front answering the questions.”
