Ona and Massey win Queensland Foursomes

Queensland State Team members, Ashley Ona (Gailes) and Courtney Massey (Southport) have won the 2010 Queensland Women’s Foursome Championship by six shots with scores of 75, 79 154 on the Toowoomba (Middle Ridge) layout today. The duo, who both will represent Queensland in this year s Interstate Teams Matches in Brisbane, combined consistently for most of their round, and outplayed the rest of the field. Windaroo s Jasmine Finlay & Ipswich s Susan Glasby finished a further six shots back in second place, with scores of 78, 82 160. The division 2 (h cap s 18.5+) gross winners were Toowoomba members Trudy Dunne & Nancy Young after retuning rounds of 87,51- 138 after the 27 holes.They managed to pip City Golf Club rivals Janelle Sands & Di Riggall on a count back. The Nett Winners were Ashley Blacksell & Amy Pollock (Mt Warren Park) in division one with Lyn Morgan & Marion Ellevsen winning the division two nett.
