Louis Oosthuizen captured the Volvo Golf Champions by one stroke after surging past overnight leader Scott Jamieson in Durban on Sunday. Jamieson of Scotland held a five-stroke lead heading into the final day of play and was poised to claim a second South African title in a month. But his South African opponent and local favourite had other ideas, sinking seven birdies as he fired a six-under 66 to close the tournament on 16 under. Oosthuizen began Sunday in a positive fashion, holing two birdies in his opening three holes before sinking another two in succession from the 10th flag. Oosthuizen&aposs triumph at the Durban Country Club was his first European Tour success since claiming the Maybank Malaysian Open last April and the sixth of his career. The 2010 British Open champion, who moves to number four in the world rankings, also becomes the second successive South African to win the tournament after Branden Grace last year. As for Jamieson, his quest for a second European Tour victory continues after finishing one shot behind Oosthuizen. The 29-year-old collected a double-bogey and a bogey on his way to an even-par 72 final round. Thailand&aposs Thongchai Jaidee enjoyed a solid day on the green, hitting a four-under 68 for third place at 14 under overall. Irishman Padraig Harrington, a three-time Major winner, was four shots off the pace courtesy of a strong four-under par 68. There were two players on 11 under, with Englishman Danny Willett and Frenchman Julien Quesne finishing in a tie for fifth. Last year&aposs winner Grace had to settle for seventh alongside Scotsman Paul Lawrie on 10 under. Meanwhile, Scotland&aposs Richie Ramsay registered a five-under 67 on the final day to finish in a seven-way tie at nine under. Joining him in the logjam were Dane Thomas Bjorn, Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts, Spaniard Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Ireland&aposs Shane Lowry and Italian duo Matteo Manassero and Francesco Molinari.
