Yarra Bend Golf will be the place to be this Sunday 16 November for all current golfers and those wanting to learn the game as Golf Victoria hosts its third Community Golf Open Day.
The open day will ignite the start of Playgolf WEEK (presented by Drummond Golf), a national initiative to get Australians to try their hand at golf, running from 17-23 November.
This Sunday, participants can expect to see one-on-one coaching, short game clinics, putting competitions, driving range practice and many activities for kids including modified golf clubs and balls, a jumping castle and face painting.
Simon Brookhouse, Golf Victoria CEO is encouraging everyone with an interest in the game to make the trip to Yarra Bend Golf, citing the day as a great opportunity for golfers of all abilities to enjoy themselves and learn something new.
“Sunday will be the ideal time to introduce your family or friends to the great game of golf. There are plenty of activities lined up across the day to interest everyone from the complete beginner to a more established player.
“Yarra Bend has wonderful golfing facilities, ideal for hosting an open day like this. We’ll have plenty of expert golf coaches on hand to help beginners learn the basics of the game, and for the existing golfer you can be sure you’ll pick up a few new tips,” said Brookhouse.
