CLICK HERE Albinski goes wire-to-wire at 2008 Australian Men&aposs Senior Amateur Championship Stefan Albinski led from start to finish claiming the 2008 Australian Men&aposs Senior Amateur Championship by four shots from Alex Cleave at Royal Perth Golf Club. The New South Welshman posted a 73 today for a three-round total of four-under to run away with the title and be the only man under par for the tournament. Cleave also managed a one-over in tricky final round conditions while Norman Swenson Jr. fell away to finish in equal-fourth alongside former winner Tony Gresham at five-over the card. It wasn&apost all plain sailing for the winner though who bogeyed the 11th hole and watched as Cleave birdied the 12th to cut the margin to two. However a double bogey on 16 cost Cleave dearly as Albinski finished with composure to take the crown. Defending co-champions Denis Dale and Rick Oliver finished in a share of 11th at 11-over the card. Golf Australia wishes to sincerely thank Royal Perth Golf Club for staging this National Championship.
