Ormsby fades at the finish

Australia&aposs Wade Ormsby failed to fire in the final round at the Kings Cup in Thailand and could only finish in a tie for 22nd place behind Arnond Vongvanij. Ormsby headed into the last 18 holes just four shots from the overnight lead, but could only manage a one over round of 73 in humid conditions at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club. His score of 12-under 276 was some 10 shots behind that of Vongvanij, with the local hope closing with a superb 64 to claim the prize. Fellow Thai Thaworn Wiratchant and Mardan Mamat of Singapore shared second place at 20 under, while Thammanoon Sriroj and Udorn Duangdecha were a further shot adrift in equal fourth. Of the other Australians competing, Unho Park tied for 33rd, Andrew Dodt and Kunal Bhasin shared 48th, Darren Tan was equal 54th and Marcus Both finished alongside two others in 61st.
