Parry finishes strongly

Toshimitzi Izawa has taken out the Japan PGA Championship with Australian Craig Parry being just four shots off the pace after a strong final round. Izawa hit a poor final round one-over 73 but managed to hold onto his lead as he claimed the tournament by one stroke with a five-under total score for the four days. Just behind Izawa was Saturo Hirota (71) who finished at four-under for the tournament while Sushi Ishigaki (67) and Jong-Duck Kim (70) were tied for third. Parry (68) recovered some form on the last day after hitting a 77 on day three to claim a tie for fifth position as Brendan Jones (72) tied for 10th. Scott Laycock (73) was further back in the field in a tie for 41st position as Chris Campbell finished in a tie for 46th.
