Parry Shield battle moves to Glenelg

The initial exchange for the Craig Parry Shield began in 2002 between New South Wales and Victoria and was played at Beaconhills in Victoria. This exchange between these two states continued until 2006 when Queensland became the third state to compete for the shield . In 2009 South Australia competed for the first time and the Craig Parry Shield became recognized as a National Championship by School Sport Australia. This years Championship will be held in South Australia and will be played at Glenelg Golf Club from Monday 13th. November to Thursday 18th. November. Teams from each state consist of four girls and eight boys with the three lowest girls and the six lowest boys aggregate gross score counted to decide the winning team. In conjunction with the Craig Parry Shield a girls team nett score trophy the Brenda Carnavas Shield is played for and is decided by the aggregate of the three lowest scores; also a boys team nett score trophy the Bowtell/Abbott Shield is played for and is decided by the aggregate of the six lowest scores.
