Patrick Reed beat Jordan Spieth on the second hole of a play-off to decide the Wyndham Championship and win his first PGA Tour title. Reed kept his cool to sink a seven-foot birdie putt on the par-four 10th after the duo had finished on 14 under on Sunday. John Huh&aposs challenge falter following back-to-back bogeys at the 17th and 18th and a further dropped shot at the second on the final round. Huh and Reed had started the day together at the top of the leaderboard in Greensboro, North Carolina, on 10 under, with Spieth quick to signal his title intentions. Spieth was bidding to become the youngest two-time winner in PGA Tour history following his success at the John Deere Classic last month, and the early signs were promising for the 20-year-old. Six birdies, including four in six holes between 12 and 17, put Spieth in a three-way fight for the lead with Reed and Huh, who finished alongside Brian Hardman on 12 under. Reed helped himself to three successive birdies to card a four-under 66 and set up a play-off showdown against his fellow American Spieth. There was nothing to separate the two players on the 18th, the first play-off hole, as they both producing matching par fours before duelling on the 10th. Spieth hit the green in two, but his 10-foot birdie putt rolled agonisingly wide and Reed took full advantage to hold his nerve and earn victory. Earlier in the day, Zach Johnson, Australia&aposs Matt Jones and Matt Every all ended on 11 under, one shot clear of the likes of Rory Sabbatini. Sergio Garcia ended his Wyndham Championship title defence with a 71 on Sunday, leaving him four under for the tournament. Australian trio Steven Bowditch, John Senden and Alistair Presnell finished in a tie for 29th at four under, while compatriot Geoff Ogilvy was a further shot adrift in equal 37th. Nick O&aposHern and Stuart Appleby claimed a share of 45th at two under, one stroke ahead of fellow Aussies Greg Chalmers and Scott Gardiner.
