Peake bids for Malaysian title

Western Australia&aposs Ryan Peake will be bidding to make it two Australian victories in a row in Malaysia when he tees off in the final round of the Kurnia-Saujana Amateur Championship today. New South Welshman Daniel Bringolf won the Malaysian Amateur Championship last weekend. Peake, who fired a second round 68, trails leader Malaysian Gavin Green by one stroke. Both Gavin and Peake had five birdies against one bogey on their cards. Peake had a few poor drives but managed to recover each time. I did not make any stupid mistakes today although I felt like I left a lot of shots out there through poor putting, he said. I missed a couple of putts from less than 14 inches through carelessness.
