Pennants – Division 2 Wrap

Macquarie Links steamrolled Bayview in Pool 1 of Division 2 Pennant, while Muirfield accounted for Oatlands in the other pool game.

In a one-sided match full of heavy wins for Macquarie Links, Troy Norris was the biggest winner with a 6&4 result, while Kieth Euan recorded a 6&5 result for Muirfield in their easy win over Oatlands.

Macquarie Links however are dominating the group, and although tied with Muirfield, the imposing 23 1/2 matches they have won as a team is impressing many.

Monash walked away with the points against Cronulla with a 4 1/2 to 2 1/2 win. Once again 2015 Australian Amateur Champion Cameron Davis stood out with a 5&4 win.

Royal Sydney beat Fox Hills 4 matches to 3 in the other pool match, Joseph Currena big winner 7&6 over Joel Wheatley.

Monash with an unbeaten record however will be hard to be beaten with only a few matches remaining.

The Lakes and Lynwood Country Club are still playing a game of cat and mouse at the top of their Pool 3 Group in Division 2..

Both teams had handy away wins on the weekend, however the Lakes grabbed an extra game from Stonecutters Ridge in their 5 matches to 2 win; Lynwood only managing a 4 matches to 3 win against New Brighton.

The Lake's Thomas Kaidev was the standout winner for the Lakes with a 5&4 win over Mark Hancock, while Lynwood's Darren Robel had a 6&5 win over New Brighton's Gavin Brown.

In Pool 4 Killara handed out a thumping to Wakehurst 7 matches to nil. in a heavily lopsided result. The standouts were Keiran Jones, Simon Cooper and Anthony Wray who all recorded big wins.
