Penrith Pair wins 2018 KENO Men’s Fourball State Final

The Penrith Golf Club pairing of Jason Fog and Gerard Plevey have held their nerve over the closing holes to edge out Lynwood's Kershan Pillai and Neshen Munusamy by two strokes at Bonville Golf Resort today.  The Lynwood pair closed with the day's best round, a score of +9.

Taking a commending lead into the final round, the Penrith pairing had a score of +5 to go with their brilliant first round +13 in the fourball par competition.  In third place was Kiama Golf Club pairing Neil Dell and Mark Cull on a total of +12, edging out Hurstville's Mark Gray and John Worthington, on a countback.

"I am thrilled to have won this event this year, having been lucky enough to have made the final before.  This time I chose the right partner.  He played so well, particularly yesterday" an excited Fogg said.

"What an experience !" said an excited Gerard Plevey.  "I have loved the whole week."

Bonville Golf Resort was a challenge for many who found it difficult to score, but the players' feedback at the end of the day has been positive and they are excited to come back another time to take on the challenge.

"The Bonvillle experience and the fact that we are here is the real prize."

"Loving the week so far. The Bonville staff make you feel so welcome."

"Tough course, tough day, but I guess it beats working… hehe."
