American Scott Brown rolled in a birdie on the final hole to claim his first PGA Tour win at the Puerto Rico Open on Sunday as Australian Cameron Percy finished just six strokes off the pace. Twenty-nine-year-old Brown, however, held his nerve on the 18th green to hole a four-foot birdie putt and end the day with a two-under-par round of 70. That left him on 20 under for the tournament and saw him defeat Argentine Fabian Gomez by one stroke. Gomez went into the final hole with a one-shot lead but cracked under pressure as he bogeyed the 18th to finish on 19 under for the tournament after a final round of 71. American teenager Jordan Spieth tied with Gomez for second after shooting an impressive five-under par in his final round, which included six birdies. Justin Bolli and Brian Stuard finished the tournament in a tie for fourth on 18 under, with Bolli equalling the day&aposs best round of 66 despite having two bogeys to go with his eight birdies. Halfway leader Andres Romero was joined by Peter Uihlein in a tie for sixth after both ended the tournament on 17 under. A group consisting of David Hearn, DJ Trahan and Boo Weekley rounded out the top 10 in a tie for eighth a further stroke back. Percy, meanwhile, finished in an impressive fashion, carding a four-under 68 round at the Rio Grande course to finish in a tie for 11th at 14 under overall. Fellow Aussie Matt Jones also finished on 14 under after posting 70 in his final round, while Nick O&aposHern was a further stroke back after producing a three-under 69 round on Sunday. Meanwhile in Santiago, American Kevin Kisner has taken out the web.com tour&aposs Chile Classic by a single stroke. Kisner posted a four-under 68 at the Prince of Wales Country Club as he finished at 21 under for the tournament, one stroke ahead of compatriots Edward Loar and Brice Garnett. Kisner produced five birdies in his round but a bogey on the 16th exposed him to the challenge from below as Loar finished with two birdies in his three-under 69 round. Garnett, meanwhile, also posted four-under 68 on Sunday as the pair finished at 20 under overall. New Zealand youngster Danny Lee was three strokes off the pace at 17 under for the tournament while Bronson La&aposCassie was the best of the Australians at 14 under after carding a five-under 67 round on Sunday. Peter Lonard (68) was a further three strokes adrift while James Nitties (four under for the tournament) and Aron Price (even par) were further off the pace.
