Percy pipped by Piercy

Victorian Cameron Percy shot a final round four-under par 66 to finish in a tie for second place at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, two shots behind winner American Scott Piercy. The second-placed finish was Percy&aposs best finish on the Nationwide Tour. Percy, a three time winner on the Australian Von Nida Tour was tied for ninth with Piercy going into the final round. His 66 was strong, but he couldn&apost match Piercy&aposs final round of 64 which knocked off both Percy and his second placed partner and last week&aposs winner Brendan de Jonge, relegating them to second place. The result takes Percy from 89th to 52nd on the money list boosting his position to regain his card for the 2009 season, with the top 60 players at season&aposs end earning their card. Compatriot Greg Chalmers also had a good tournament, finishing at eight-under overall and a tie for ninth place.
