2010 Australian Men&aposs Mid Amateur Championship: Victorian Jason Perry clinched his third consecutive Australian Men’sMid Amateur Championship with a wire-to-wire victory at The National Golf Club. Perry, who led by three strokes overnight, fired a final round 1-under par 71 to finish five strokes ahead of fellow Victorian Matthew Oldham who shot a 73. Queenslander Paul Griffiths finished in third place, three strokes behind Oldham. Victorian John Beveridge finished in fourth place while Adrian Alzino (QLD) and Mat Crandell (NSW) finished in a tie for fifth. Final Results – Australian Men&aposs Mid Amateur Championship 2010 Australian Women&aposs Mid Amateur Championship: In the Women&aposs Championship, Victorian Sue Wooster lifted the Australian Women’s Mid Amateur Championship for the first time after her three stroke victory at The National Golf Club. Wooster, who was a member of the joint-winning Victorian team at the 2010 Australian Women’s Interstate Teams Matches, fired a final round even par 74 to overcome overnight leader Kim Burke (NSW), who finished in second place. Queensland s Katrina Jones finished in third place, one stroke behind Burke. Western Australian Angela Thorne finished fourth, some 13 strokes behind the top three.
