Local member, Andrew Phillips, has emerged as medallist at this year’s Salamanca Inn Men's Amateur Championship of Tasmania.
Phillips carded rounds of 72 and 72, a total of 144 (EV) to defeat his nearest rival, Chang Gi Lee of Korea, by one strokes on one-over.
Local member and junior, Tim Smith, placed third on two-over-par.

New South Wales’ Grace Kim and Isabelle Taylor are joint leaders at the halfway mark of the qualifying rounds of the Salamanca Inn Women's Amateur Championship of Tasmania.
Kim and Taylor each returned even-par rounds of 74 to lead Western Australia’s Georgia Shears and Adele Douglas from the Australian Capital Territory by three strokes on three-over.
