The 2015 Women’s Champion of Champions and the Victorian Salver concluded today in spectacular weather in Melbourne’s South East. The Sandhurst Club was again presented in perfect condition, fielding only great reviews from players who have spent 2 days pacing the fairways.

Jessica Pickwick (Kilmore) has claimed the Champion of Champions title with a 36 hole total of 146. As this is the first year without the matchplay component of the event. Pickwick has dominated the Victorian Women's golf circuit this year, with state titles at the Par 3, Country Championship, Spring Tournament and adding now the Champion of Champions title. Jess will also be presented the Joan Fisher Plate, previously awarded to the leading 36 hole score before match play finals.

The Gwenda Anderson Trophy (36 hole nett), named after previous Victorian Ladies Golf Union and Australian Ladies Golf Union President, was won by Green Acres member Libby Lewis with a nett score of 145. Libby edged out Yarra Yarra youngster Shanaiah Fernando by one shot.

In the Victorian Salver, Shirley Roberts (Packenham) has improved her overnight lead to win by three shots from Jenny Chandler (Cardinia Beaconhills). Shirley was also good enough to finish in second place in the nett section with a 151 total, behind Ilse Troy (Mount Martha) who won the Newton Lees Bowl off her daily handicap of 23.

Thanks again to the Sandhurst Club for hosting the event, the hospitality from all members and staff was second to none.
