Early Scare for No 1 Seed in Senior Match Play. This morning saw the beginning of the 2008 Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship at Barwon Heads Golf Club, Victoria. The weather started as it finish this championship last year, wet, cold and windy; however the bad weather soon departed and brought sunshine and clear blue skies. No 1 seed, Rick Oliver, survived a tough challenge in the first round. In windy conditions, Oliver was taken to the 18th hole by fellow New South Welshman, Ken Lamb. The Knock Out event, which was first played in 2008 also on the magnificent Barwon Heads course, concludes this Friday.
