2015 Macarthur Junior Masters – Campbelltown Golf Club
Monday 8th June 2015
There was plenty of drama on the final day at the Macarthur Junior Masters with playoff's needed to determine the winners of the Girls 14/15 Years, Girls 16/17 Years, and Girls Overall title.
After heading into the final round trailing Celina Yuan (The Australian) by two strokes, Doey Choi (Concord) quickly took control of the tournament. Starting on the 10th hole, Choi made an early birdie on the par five 11th before holing out for an eagle two on the par four 16th to lead heading into the back nine. Dunheved's Hannah Park emerged as the closest challenger, recovering from a double bogey on her first hole of the day with five birdies to grab a share of the lead. The girls couldn't be split, with both players missing the chance to win the tournament outright with final hole bogies to finish the tournament at one over par, and a playoff was needed. The sudden death playoff only lasted one hole, with a par enough to give Choi her first Junior Masters victory of the year.
Choi claimed the overall title as well as the 14/15 Years Division, but there was more playoff drama when overnight leader Yuan and Madeleine Nurdi (St. Michael's) finished locked together at six over par and on top of the girls 16/17 Years Division. Once more, the playoff only lasted one hole with Yuan claiming the title with a par. The 13 Years and Under Division was a one act affair, with June Song leading from start to finish and recorded an 11 shot victory.

Whilst the Girls was a nail-biting finish across all divisions, Blake Windred (The Australian) stormed to victory in the Boys division after playing his final 11 holes in SIX under par! After starting slowly with three bogies in the first four holes before making the turn at two over par, Windred flew home with birdies on 10, 13, 15, 16, 18 to finish with a back nine of 29 and a second consecutive 67 to defeat Chris Fan (Avondale) by four shots. Fan finished in outright second whilst also claiming the 14/15 Years division after back to back rounds of 69, with joint overnight leaders Corey Jones (Pymble) and Corey Rae (Cromer) finishing in a tie for third at minus one.
The Boys 13 Years and Under Division was taken out by Aiden Powter (St Michael's), with the 13 year old impressing with back to back rounds of 72. Powter won by six strokes from Lachlan Jones (Dubbo), with Henry Scott (Royal Sydney) taking out the Nett division, finishing at nine under par after a Nett Score of 63 on the second day. The stableford division was taken out by Benny Xu (Bardwell Valley), with the 9 year old backing up his 46 points on day one with 43 points on day two.
