2018 NT Women's Amateur championship Cassie Porter is excited to defend her title next month.
The Queenslander will be face fierce competition from a contingent of interstate players including Kelsey Bennett from NSW.
Cassie said ”in the past month I have played at two professional events including the ActewAGL Canberra Classic and the Women’s NSW Open. I placed as Leading Amateur in both tournaments. I am really looking forward to returning to the Northern Territory Amateur this year in Alice Springs as it is an extremely well run event where the players are looked after over the whole week.”
Registrations so far show more than half of entrants are interstate players.
This is the second year that the men’s and women’s events have been combined together.
The tournament will be played from 4-7 April at Alice Springs Golf Club. Entries close Friday March 29, 2019.
