Originally born in Tonbridge Wells in England, Australia s Lindsey Wright joined the LPGA Tour as rookie in 2004 after a successful amateur career at Pepperdine University where she studied in the same degree as Katherine Hull. Wright won three times on the LPGA s Futures Tour after turning pro and her performances in recent years have seen her finish in the Top 5 at the Majors on three occasions. Her first big chance of breaking through on the LPGA Tour came in 2009 when she lost a play-off against Korean Eunjung Yi at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic. It was an outstanding year for Wright where she went on to finish fourth at the Kraft Nabisco Championship and runner up at the LPGA Championship. Wright s maiden ALPG Tour win came in 2012 when she won the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open at Pegasus Golf Club an event co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour.
