HIS STORY:
Steven Bowditch is one of the most inspiring stories in world golf. After a prodigious amateur career, Bowditch was touted as the next Greg Norman of Australian golf. But battles with clinical depression and alcoholism weighed down on the Queenslander in between two Nationwide Tour victories. Last year, Bowditch overcame his demons to record a maiden US PGA Tour victory at the Valero Texas Open, before backing it up with a second title in Texas this year. He is now an ambassador for the beyondblue organisation. The 32-year-old has recorded top-30 finishes at the Australian Open the past two years and will be buoyed by a solid performance for the International team at the recent Presidents Cup.
