Australian Women’s Senior Amateur Championship, Final Australian Women&aposs Senior Amateur – Match Play Results Australian-born American Robyn Puckett became the first international player to win the Australian Women’s Amateur Championship in a tight final at Commonwealth Golf Club. The 3&2 victory over Queensland s Josie Ryan completed a week which saw her come through the two stroke play rounds as the top qualifier. It’s been such a great week and everyone has made me feel so welcome, Puckett said. The level of sportsmanship this week has been fantastic and hopefully I ll be able to come back next year. The match was square through the front nine before Puckett won holes 10, 15 and seal victory with a par putt on the 16th hole. Despite the loss, Ryan finished top of the Australian Women’s Senior Ranking System for 2010. Australian Men’sSenior Match Play Championship, Final Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship – Draw and Results Former champion Chris Coats collected his second Australian Men’sSenior Match Play championship in a hard fought match at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links. Coats, who won in 2007, beat fellow Queenslander Colin Hallam 1up as the wind made play challenging on a blustery day. Neither player could get more than two holes up throughout the match and Coats walked to the 18th tee 1up and held on for victory.
