Queensland girls win Junior Interstate Series

Round 5 and Final Results

The Queensland Girls' Team has clinched a fourth consecutive Australian Girls' Interstate Teams Matches title, lifting the Burtta Cheney Cup at Yering Meadows in Victoria's Yarra Valley.

With the result of this morning's contest between Queensland and New South Wales deciding the title, Samantha Foley and Stacey White (QLD) won as team mates Rebecca Kay and Australian Amateur runner-up Karis Davidson squared their matches to give Queensland the 3-2 win.

Past members of winning Queensland teams include current LPGA Tour players Karrie Webb, Katherine Kirk and Sarah-Jane Smith.

With New South Wales finishing in second place, Western Australia defeated Victoria 3-2 to claim third place.
