Nine-hole golf is fast, fun and fits into busy lives – whether it’s early in the morning, after work, at weekends or even on holiday. Nine-hole cards can also now be submitted for handicap purposes, so it’s also a great way to keep your skills sharp and your handicap up-to-date.
Play 9 is an Australian golf industry initiative to promote nine-hole golf during the summer of 2017-18.
You can win the chance to Play 9 at The Australian Golf Club on the Saturday evening of the Emirates Australian Open!
Four players from Queensland will qualify and join representatives from other states & territories.

How to Qualify
Participate in Golf Queensland’s Play 9 Qualifying Competition on Sunday 22 October 2017 at The Brisbane Golf Club, the week of the Isuzu Queensland Open.
Format: Individual Stableford competition over 9 holes (Front and back nine competitions)
The two leading male and female players from the day will qualify to Play 9 at the 2017 Emirates Australian Open on Saturday 26th November.
Prize includes:
• To Play 9 at the 2017 Emirates Australian Open;
• A weekend pass for the 2017 Emirates Australian Open as guests of Golf Australia;
• Return economy air travel to Sydney from Brisbane;
• Two nights’ accommodation (Friday and Saturday nights), transfers and all meals in Sydney;
• Attendance at the Play 9 presentation cocktail party;
• Tickets to the Emirates Australian Open champion’s cocktail party on Sunday evening;
• A player gift pack.
Eligibility: Open to any member of a Queensland club affiliated with Golf Australia who holds a GA handicap.
GA Handicap Limit: Male GA 36.4, Female GA 45.4
Age: No limit
Cost: $35.00
Tee Times: Players off the 1st and 10th tee. Players will have the option of entering at various tee time blocks, i.e. 9am -10am, 10am – 11am etc. Players must only enter in one tee time block.
