R&A boss reflects on his time at the top

Peter Dawson, the chief executive of the R&A, stepped down on September 25 after 16 years at the helm of one of the most powerful golf organisations in the world.

Among many accomplishments, Dawson, 67, left a legacy of tougher championship venues, a strong stance against the anchored putting stroke and the historic admission of female members into the R&A.
