CLICK HERE FOR ROUND 1 RESULTS New Zealand s Cecilia Cho and Lydia Ko share the lead following the opening round of the Srixon Australian Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Huntingdale Golf Club in Melbourne. Both Cho and Ko finished with 3-under par rounds of 70 to lead by two strokes from South Australia s Ebony Heard and Chinese Taipei s Yi-Chen Liu who both shot 1-under par 72s. I could ve improved, Cho said. It wasn t really my putting or my swing, it s just the mixture wasn t too good today. My putting wasn t too bad, I just didn t get it close enough to the hole and my tee shots on the last few holes weren t too good but I think I ll have a good round tomorrow. I was enjoying it out there today, I wasn t trying to score particularly well, Cho added. Tasmania s Ashlee Dewhurst and New South Wales Lauren Hibbert finished with even par 73s. A large group of players finished at 2-over par 74 including Ashley Ona (QLD) and NSW pair Carly Beck and Cathleen Santoso. Belgium s Stephanie Fransolet and Western Australia s Whitney Hillier finished with 3-over par 75s. Round 2 begins on Thursday. The Srixon Australian Men’sStroke Play begins tomorrow at Woodlands Golf Club and Victoria Golf Club. Entry to all championships is free.
