Rd 2 Pennant Wrap – Women�s A1 �Sanderson Cup�

The Grange and The Vines remain undefeated after round two of the ‘Sanderson Cup’ played at Blackwood and in the match of the round Glenelg defeated Kooyonga.

The Vines notched up another important early season win defeating the home side 3-2 in a match that went down to the wire.

Kathryn Michaelsen 2&1 and Sausan Keylock 5&4 won for The Vines while at number four Paula White defeated Acacia Curtis 5&4. Matches one and two went the distance and couldn’t be split with Catherine Hayward versus Angela Masters and Caitlin Peirce against Gale Macpherson both ending in halves for a 3-2 victory to The Vines.   

The Grange won comfortably over Royal Adelaide 5-0. Alicia Smith 2&1, Louise Glennon 6&4, Jen Foo 4&3, Cailtin Roberts 7&6 and Jin-young Yun 3&2 all recorded solid wins.

Glenelg started its move up the ladder recording a close 3-2 win over Kooyonga. Matilda Wheare won 2&1 at number five, before wins to Kooyonga number four and three players Deb Percey 5&3 and Jodie Deacon 2up.

Glenelg’s top two players Jill Hodge 1up and Elysia Yap 3&1 recorded crucial wins for Glenelg to get the side across the line and kick start their season.

Matches recommence on Sunday 18th June at Glenelg following a bye for the Queen’s Birthday.
