Rd 3: Ko maintains lead at Huntingdale

ROUND 3 RESULTS New Zealand s Lydia Ko shot a third round 2-under par 71 to take a two stroke lead into the final round of the Srixon Australian Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Huntingdale Golf Club. Ko went out in 1-over par 37 but came home with four birdies to complete her 71. I couldn’t hit many greens on the front nine and I was struggling a bit it was pretty hard to get up and down, Ko said. I think overall the round was good though. On facing her friend and defending champion Cecilia Cho in the chasing pack tomorrow, Ko said she would focus on enjoying the round. It will be challenging. I need to have fun out there and relax and play the best that I can. I know Cecilia and Yi-Chien are good players and can shoot good scores out there so I just need to keep my score going, Ko added. Ko s compatriot Cecilia Cho is in a tie for second place with Chinese Taipei s Yi-Chien Liu at 3-under par. Both Cho and Lieu shot the round of the day with 4-under par 69s. It was better than yesterday, I found it a bit easier, Cho said. WA s Minjee Lee is the leading Ausralian in fourth place at 1-under par following her third round 74.
