The Grange remains undefeated and top of the table after three rounds of the ‘Sanderson Cup’ after accounting for Blackwood 5-0 in matches played at Glenelg Golf Club. In a series of lopsided contests, the home side also had a 5-0 win, along with Kooyonga 4.5-0.5, with both sides now battling each other to secure second spot.
In its 5-0 win over Blacwkood winners for The Grange were; Nicolle Rantanen 3&1, Jean-Wei Foo 3&2, Louise Glennon 6&5, Caitlin Roberts 6&5 and Jin-young Yun 3&1. The Grange are now well positioned and a big win next week will likely see them progress through to the final with four wins, although five wins may still be required to finish two two.
Kooyonga were winners against The Vines 4.5-0.5 with Jill Trenorden winning 7&5, Deb Percey 2up, Jodie Deacon 3&2 and Hayley Hunt 2&1 all victorious.
The number two match between Lyn McGough and Susan Keylock went down to the wire with players battling out a halve.
Glenelg won its second match of the season 5-0 against Royal Adelaide. Matilda Wheare 7&5, Sarah Crocker 4&3, Josie Gale 4&3, Jill Hodge 3&2 and Elysia Yap 3&2 were all comfortable winners.
In round four matches home side Royal Adelaide faces Kooyonga, Blackwood plays Glenelg while the top side The Grange comes up against The Vines.
